The dongle is connected directly to a USB 3.0 port (with latest mboard USB 3 drivers installed) The computer is upstairs a fair distance away from the router with a direct line of sight passing through at least 2 interior walls and one brick wall. The router is connected to the master socket via an ADSL faceplate filter in the lounge. I have tried uninstalling the Asus PCE-AC56 PCIE Wi-Fi Card drivers and reinstalling, updating them manually to the latest drivers (Windows Update doesn't seem to find the latest drivers), and uninstalling and letting Windows do it's thing by updating itself.I have been using this dongle for the last few months in Win 10 and find that it loves to disconnect/reconnect, randomly drop out, switch from 5 Ghz to 2.4 Ghz etc.
I am currently using an AMD FX-8350, 970 Pro Gaming/Aura Motherboard, 32 gigs of Corsair RAM running at 1600 MHz, Gigabyte GTX 1060, and the Asus PCE-AC56 PCIE Wi-Fi Card.Īfter looking into Event Viewer it states this:ĭevice PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_43B1&SUBSYS_85BA1043&REV_03\4&e21b4e0&0&0050 requires further installation.ĭriver Management has concluded the process to add Service BCMWL63A for Device Instance ID PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_43B1&SUBSYS_85BA1043&REV_03\4&E21B4E0&0&0050 with the following status: 0.ĭriver Management has concluded the process to add Service vwifibus for Device Instance ID PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_43B1&SUBSYS_85BA1043&REV_03\4&E21B4E0&0&0050 with the following status: 0.ĭriver Management concluded the process to install driver bcmwdi.inf_amd64_43fc1506222a9c82\bcmwdi.inf for Device Instance ID PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_43B1&SUBSYS_85BA1043&REV_03\4&E21B4E0&0&0050 with the following status: 0x0.
The requested operation was unsuccessful. Basically the drivers on the disc are from 2016, with these drivers my 5GHz network is not showing up in available network devices, the cheaper ASUS PCE-AC56 which only has 2 antennas was able to pick up the 5GHz network easily, both my 20 mobile phones can connect to the 5GHz band when placed directly next to the adapters antennas. The issue is that the device cannot start: It seems to be an issue with the Fall Creators Update.
I have been looking around for help on this but there hasn't been much in the way to fix the issue. Asus PCE-AC56 PCIE Wi-Fi Card not Working
